It seems that Delhi people has no care for themselves because even after the prohibition on crackers by Supreme Court, crackers were being burned in bulk. These fireworks has mixed dangerous toxins in air that people were facing trouble in breathing. The air quality has been degraded after this much pollution.
According to Air quality Index, the air quality of air in Delhi was 296 yesterday night. It all happened because people had broken all the rules. The supreme court has set the time of burning crackers between 8-10 pm but not even single person has followed the rule. Although Court has allowed to buy and sell Green crackers.
The Central Pollution Control Board has declared that the air quality index was 281 at 7pm and 291 at 8pm but it got upgraded by 294 at 9 pm last night. According to System of Air quality forecasting and research, affiliated by Central government, the total air quality index is 319 which is very bad for Delhi weather.
The Air quality has been degraded majorly in Anand Vihar, ITO and Jahangirpuri and the level of pollution is very high in these areas. The main areas which has disobeyed the Supreme Court decision are Mayur Vihar Extension, Lajpat Nagar, Lutiyans Delhi, IP Extension, Dwarika and Noida Sector 78.
It is the supposition of SAFRA that the air will be in bad category on Thursday. Although, in comparison of 2017 less harmful crackers has been burned. According to SAFRA, the level of pollution will be most highest on Wednesday night and on Thursday between 11 am to 3pm.
