A Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader has been allegedly stoned to death in Telangana’s Vikarabad. His body was discovered on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, agitated TRS supporters later beat up two Congress workers following the killing of their leader Narayana Reddy.
Reddy was said to be involved in an ongoing feud with a rival gang in the village. His body was recovered from Sultanpur village of Pargi in Vikarabad, as per the report.
Meanwhile, the police have ruled out a political motive behind Reddy’s murder, as per reports. Tension gripped the area following the murder of the local leader and the subsequent clashes between the TRS and Congress supporters.
Police have reportedly registered a case in the matter and has also deployed cops in the area in large numbers to maintain law and order situation in the region.
